The iconic Waldorf Astoria property in New Orleans, The Roosevelt, is seeking a Full-Time Banquet Cook to join the team!

Our luxury hotel offers an unparalleled combination of Southern hospitality, world-class service, and historic surroundings. As the centerpiece of the city, the hotel is located near the French Quarter and within walking distance to the city's most vibrant attractions and entertainment, including Jackson Square, Bourbon Street, and the Arts & Warehouse District.

Embodying the rich heritage of Southern hospitality, the historic hotel features 504 rooms, over 60,000 square feet of meeting space, and five (5) food and beverage outlets, including 2 restaurants, a café, seasonal rooftop bar, and in-room dining.

The Banquet Cook is responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel, continuing the effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability.

What will I be doing?

As a Banquet Cook, you would be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
  • Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner
  • Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
  • Stock and maintain designated food station(s)
  • Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local, and company regulations
  • Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed
