Job Overview

To ensure proper service from the front line through quality control and proper sanitation levels.

Responsibilities
  1. Check all items against the recipe cards, verify use records, and ensure food is presented efficiently and with quality.
  2. Monitor line setup before meal functions to ensure maximum efficiency.
  3. Maintain equipment and enforce the 'clean as you go' policy.
  4. Prepare food following recipes and standards, coordinating with servers.
  5. Start pre-prepared food items, avoiding overproduction.
  6. Label and rotate food containers according to SOP, maintaining proper temperatures.
  7. Check pars, determine preparation needs, and set up lines.
  8. Note shortages and out-of-stock items.
  9. Return unused food to storage, covering and dating perishables.
  10. Assist in controlling food costs and minimizing waste.
Qualifications
Education/Formal Training

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

One to two years of related experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills

Ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively, and understand kitchen practices.

Physical Demands

Includes lifting up to 70 lbs, climbing, bending, mobility, standing, and vision requirements, with accommodations as needed.
