Job Overview

Ensure proper service through quality control and sanitation.

Responsibilities
  1. Verify all items against recipe cards and use records, ensuring quality and presentation.
  2. Monitor line setup for efficiency during meal functions.
  3. Maintain equipment and enforce 'clean as you go' policies.
  4. Prepare food following recipes, standards, and server dupe.
  5. Manage ahead-of-time food prep, avoiding overproduction.
  6. Label and rotate perishables per SOP, maintaining proper temperatures.
  7. Check pars, prepare necessary items, and monitor stock levels.
  8. Store unused food properly, covering and dating perishables.
  9. Assist in controlling food costs, waste, and usage per SOP.
Qualifications
Education/Formal Training

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

1-2 years in a related role, with relevant experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills

Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Knowledge of cooking practices and procedures.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, climb, bend, stand for long periods, and work in varying temperatures. Must have adequate hearing, vision, and literacy to perform job functions.
