Job summary

COUNTRY CLUB OF BIRMINGHAM is seeking an experienced Banquet Cook to prepare food for breakfast, luncheons, dinners and special parties. This full-time evening-shift role requires teamwork, speed, and precise execution of recipes in a busy banquet kitchen in Birmingham, AL.

You will collect ingredients, operate production equipment, plate items, and help maintain sanitary kitchen practices while supporting the Banquet Chef and the Executive Chef.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the kitchen for long periods.
• Be organized and capable of multi-tasking.
• Be able to perform all front office functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items required for all banquet events (Breakfasts, luncheons, dinners and special parties).
• Collects food and beverage products and small wares required for item preparation.
• Operates food production equipment according to manufacturers’ instructions.
• Carefully follows standard recipes while preparing assigned items for banquet service.
• Assists in plating food items for service.
• Handles leftover food items as instructed by the Banquet Chef.
• Returns soiled food preparation utensils and smallware items to the proper areas.
• Cleans banquet preparation/serving equipment.
• Cleans assigned work station areas.
• Consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices.
• Performs other special duties as requested by the Banquet Chef and Executive Chef.

Essential Functions
