Job summary

Maryland Country Club in Bel Air, MD is seeking an events/banquet server to join our dining team. This full time/part time hourly role offers competitive wages, 401K matching, health benefits, and a caring work environment.

You will work closely with members and guests to create memorable dining experiences and support banquet events. The position requires at least 1 year experience in banquet environments, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Work very closely with our members and their guests to make memorable dining experiences.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, as well as strong memorization skills.
• Set up banquet rooms according to event order, including linens, silverware, glassware, and décor.
• Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of event spaces throughout service.
• Work closely with the Banquet Captain and team to ensure flawless execution of events
• Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
• Break down and reset banquet rooms following events.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and service standards.
• Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with other staff.
• Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs or more.
• Willing to stand or walk for extended periods.

• At least 1 year experience in a banquet environment. Country club experience is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Full and Part-time position are available
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
