Job summary

Talent Edge Recruiting is assisting a prestigious private country club on Florida's Treasure Coast in finding a hands-on Banquet Chef. This active culinary leadership role covers all event levels from intimate dinners to 700-guest banquets, partnering with the Executive Chef to ensure scratch-made, high-quality cuisine.

Onsite in Vero Beach, FL, the role offers health/dental/vision coverage, a 401(k) match up to 6%, relocation assistance on a case-by-case basis, and a seasonal bonus up to 7.5%

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of leadership experience in banquet roles.
• Proven experience executing high-volume banquets with elevated quality.
• Background in private clubs or luxury dining with banquet focus.
• No formal culinary degree required; hands-on experience matters.
• Willingness to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead food production for club events, private functions, golf tournaments, and member events.
• Cook hands-on alongside the team in an active culinary leadership role.
• Build and delegate daily prep lists to keep the kitchen ready for events.
• Supervise and coordinate the banquet culinary team, maintaining quality and timing.
• Butcher and portion proteins as needed.
• Cook and plate for events from intimate dinners to banquets for 400–700 guests.
• Uphold food quality, presentation, and consistency to high standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, food-safety-compliant kitchen.
• Partner with the Executive Chef on menu execution for seasonal events.
• Support inventory, ordering, and staffing needs as required.
• Base salary + Bonus: end-of-season bonus up to 7.5%.
