The St Joe Company is seeking a Banquet Chef at Embassy Suites - Panama City Beach, FL to coordinate all banquet food and assist in purchasing, storage and presentation for events. You will support expediting during service and uphold high food safety standards.

You should bring culinary qualifications and ServSafe certification, plus strong leadership and guest communication abilities to ensure guest satisfaction and consistent quality across banquets.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to read product labels and to communicate with guests.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English preferred
• Relevant culinary qualification and experience in either a hotel, resort or quality restaurant
• Experience in a four or five‑star property desired
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in Windows XP and Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest satisfaction by meeting St Joe Club and Resorts food standards and addressing guest concerns.
• Prepare and present banquet foods meeting quality standards.
• Assist in purchasing, storing, issuing and presentation of fresh food.
• Expedite food during service as needed.
• Assist in training culinary staff and evaluating performance.
• Maintain safety/sanitation and labelling standards per health regulations.
• Assist in controlling labor and expenses within budget.
