Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants Careers is seeking a Banquet Chef to lead a busy hotel banquet kitchen. You will maintain a clean workstation, work in a team, and apply cooking techniques with seasonal ingredients while learning new methods.

The role requires 2+ years in a similar kitchen, flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays, and certifications in Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness. You will collaborate with Catering and Banquets to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of kitchen experience in a similar hotel setting.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must meet health and safety regulations and food handling standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide banquet food of high quality with professional service.
• Create and maintain sound working relationship with banquet culinary team.
• Must be familiar with health requirements and OSHA/Department of Labor regulations.
• Prevent spoilage and contamination by enforcing sanitation practices and compliance with health policies.
• Know and follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen rules.
• Stock and maintain sufficient food at line stations for smooth service.
• Present all food with high quality and consistent presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen facilities and equipment.
• Attend weekly BEO and resume meetings.
• Work closely with Catering and Banquets teams to ensure smooth function execution.
