Job Summary

Compass Group - Eurest is seeking an experienced and passionate culinary professional to join our busy corporate dining operation (Charlotte, NC based). As a Banquet Chef, you will be a critical member of the team directly assisting the Executive Chef with executive catering operations. You will supervise and participate in implementing an exceptional culinary program, ensuring quality standards, safety, and revenue goals are met. This is a noteworthy opportunity to join a prominent national account.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Partners with the Executive Chef to continually raise the bar for our marketplace dining and executive dining/catered programs
2. Recommends and implements procedural/production changes
3. Assures compliance with all sanitation Serve-Safe and safety requirements
4. Performs culinary management of food service operation to include inventory, ordering and receiving
5. Demonstrates proficiency in menu development, cost controls, and purchasing and inventory with a focus on sourcing and utilizing local food products
6. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

1. Culinary Degree Required, Associates Degree Preferred
2. 3-5 years of relevant culinary experience preferred; banquet experience a must
3. High volume production and catering experience
4. Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
5. Desire to work with an industry leader preferred
