Job summary

The Asbury Hotel, part of Sage Hospitality Group in Asbury Park, seeks a Banquet Captain to oversee setup and service in our vibrant dining environments. The role requires quick hospitality instincts, teamwork, and a guest-first approach to ensure memorable events.

You will manage buffet setups, coordinate with the kitchen and service staff, and uphold safety and quality standards across breakfast, lunch, and dinner service at The Asbury Hotel.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of customer service principles and restaurant/kitchen operations.
• Ability to use tact and understanding in diverse customer service situations.

Responsibilities

• Read BEOs and perform the required setup.
• Set/maintain tables and stations for service.
• Work flexible shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Assist Banquet Captain in setup/breakdown of buffets or tables.
• Greet and serve guests following policies; maintain a clean work area.
