Job summary

Manor Vail Lodge is seeking a FT/PT Seasonal Banquet Captain in Vail, CO. The role leads banquet service from setup to breakdown and serves as the on-site contact for guests and group leaders.

The position emphasizes hands-on leadership, coordination with the culinary team, flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a path to part of service charges with a company-matched retirement plan after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet, catering, restaurant or hospitality leadership experience.
• Confident communication and team leadership in a fast paced setting.
• Working knowledge of hospitality systems or ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre shift lineups and communicate BEO details and timelines.
• Serve as primary contact for group leaders and event guests.
• Inspect event spaces, staff readiness, and service standards.
• Coordinate timing with culinary team and other departments.
• Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and care.
• Support scheduling, training, and day to day leadership.
• Manage event inventory, equipment, and reporting.
