Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners is seeking a Banquet Captain for the Hilton College Station in Aggieland, TX. The role oversees banquet staff, setup, service and breakdown, ensuring guest needs are met with hospitality and professionalism.

Responsibilities include verifying BEOs, coordinating with culinary teams, tracking checks, and maintaining event records in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Able to read, speak and understand English.
• Able to lift, push, carry 20 - 40 lbs.
• Stand continuously for long periods of time.
• Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Check server’s and house person’s BEOs to ensure information is accurate and followed.
• Check room set-up to ensure BEO directions are followed and public areas are neat.
• Contact group representatives and explain how to reach staff during the function.
• Ensure F&B items are served correctly per Banquet Event Order and special requests.
• Maintain constant communication between Culinary and Banquet teams during events.
• Compile and post end-of-event checks, and present to clients for signature.
• Complete paperwork (Captain’s Consumption Sheets, Captain’s Report) and distribute copies.
• Return all equipment to storage and ensure areas are clean after events.
• Assign duties, recap banquet checks, and coordinate staff for each function.
