Job summary

McKibbon Hospitality seeks a Banquet Captain to oversee daily operations for Banquet and Catering events, ensuring guest satisfaction and adherence to McKibbon Guiding Principles.

You will be the primary contact for the event client, coordinating with the sales team to ensure spaces are properly staffed and supplied, while overseeing inventory, budgeting, and invoicing. Training new hires on banquet standards is also required.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ minimum experience in a banquet or event role.
• Previous supervisor position is a plus.
• Experience working at a hotel establishment (highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main contact for the Client host of the Banquet/Event and check in regularly to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure meeting spaces are properly supplied and maintained.
• Assist in maintaining banquet department inventory, budgeting, food costs, and coding invoices.
• Help train new hires on banquet standards of service and set ups.
