Job summary

Carter Creek Winery Resort & Spa in Johnson City, Texas seeks a Banquet Captain to supervise banquet staff and coordinate all food and beverage services within the banquet department. The role also overlaps with restaurant duties during off-peak banquet times.

Responsibilities include managing BEOs, guest billing, staff training, enforcing hotel standards, and coordinating with banquets, conference planning, and kitchen teams.

Qualifications

• Two years previous Banquet Captain Experience preferred.
• Previous hospitality experience required.
• Thorough knowledge of state liquor regulations; ability to identify when a patron has had his/her alcohol limit.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with event host on all aspects of the banquet function.
• Maintain banquet logbook, function sheets, and BEOs.
• Ensure banquet rooms and service/kitchen areas are clean and properly set up.
• Oversee all aspects of assigned banquet functions and food service.
• Train staff in set up, break down, and service according to contracts and policies.
• Ensure guest checks are billed and signed by the host; reconcile daily sales.
