Sea Island Company seeks a Banquet Captain to lead our Food and Beverage team and deliver guest experiences that reflect hospitality standards.

You will supervise banquet functions, conduct pre-function meetings, coordinate staff, ensure cleanliness and proper setup, and total charges for events. Strong communication, ServSafe and POS proficiency are required; Georgia driver’s license and lifting ability are needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years Banquet or Food and Beverage experience.
• One year of supervisory experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Current ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Must hold a valid Georgia driver’s license.
• Aptitude and ability to use a restaurant POS system successfully and accurately.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform a banquet service role, lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Supervise banquet functions to ensure smooth, efficient operations.
• Conduct pre-function meetings to review setup and service details.
• Inspect function areas for cleanliness and proper setup; coordinate with Housekeeping/Engineering.
• Total all charges for each function and present a check to the function contact.
• Provide feedback and coaching to team members; assist with training and development.
