As the Banquet Captain at Newcastle Golf Club, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the banquet team to ensure successful event execution as per the banquet event order.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee setup and execution of banquet events.
• Understand facility and event expectations thoroughly.
• Provide clear instructions to team members.
• Assist with initial inquiries regarding events.
• Support the event host on the event day.
• Know all banquet menu items, including pricing, descriptions, and ingredients.
• Coordinate with the Banquet Manager and follow their instructions.
• Direct team members involved in event execution.
• Work with the event supervisor during functions.
• Assist Food and Beverage team and Tournament Coordinator as needed.
• Be flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Adjust staffing based on business needs.
• Suggest ways to minimize costs and maximize profits.
• Make cost-conscious decisions impacting event profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The role involves physical activities such as lifting, reaching, bending, and may include outdoor work with exposure to weather conditions. Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally is required.

COMPENSATION:

• Hourly pay: $16.66/hour
• Tips and overtime eligible
