Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel Miami is seeking a Banquet Captain who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into every event. You will oversee banquet service, train staff, and coordinate with culinary teams to ensure flawless guest experiences.

The role requires 3–4 years of banquet service experience, strong English communication, and a commitment to luxury hospitality. Flexible eight-hour shifts and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds are expected, contributing to memorable events

• Experience in beverage service and handling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in banquet food and beverage service, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences.
• Guide, train, motivate, and supervise banquet servers while maintaining Four Seasons service standards.
• Ensure accurate and timely food service, including proper presentation, quality, and attention to special guest requests.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of banquet menus, ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage offerings.
• Communicate effectively with culinary teams to coordinate service and accommodate guest preferences.
• Build positive relationships with guests, event organizers, and group contacts to ensure satisfaction throughout each event.
• Support banquet setup, service, and breakdown while maintaining a professional and organized environment.
• Assist with administrative responsibilities, including closing banquet checks and preparing supply requisitions.
• Provide coaching and feedback to team members, supporting consistent performance and service excellence.
• Ensure compliance with Four Seasons policies, service standards, and workplace expectations.
• Foster a collaborative and respectful work environment by working closely with colleagues and leadership.

What You Will Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Three to four years of previous banquet service experience.
• Experience in beverage service and handling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read, speak, and communicate effectively in English.
• Proficiency in computer equipment and food and beverage operating systems.
• A passion for luxury hospitality, teamwork, and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Ability to work flexible eight-hour shifts, with schedules varying based on operational needs.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
