Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel Miami is seeking a Banquet Captain who will oversee banquet service and ensure flawless guest experiences at events across the property.

You will train and supervise banquet staff, coordinate with culinary teams, and maintain Four Seasons standards while delivering luxury hospitality. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential; a passion for teamwork and guest satisfaction drives success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to four years of banquet service experience.
• Experience in beverage service and handling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read, speak, and communicate effectively in English.
• Proficiency in computer equipment and F&B operating systems.
• A passion for luxury hospitality, teamwork, and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Ability to work flexible eight-hour shifts, varying schedules.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in banquet food and beverage service, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences.
• Guide, train, motivate, and supervise banquet servers while maintaining Four Seasons service standards.
• Ensure accurate and timely food service, including proper presentation, quality, and guest requests.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of banquet menus, ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage offerings.
• Communicate effectively with culinary teams to coordinate service and accommodate guest preferences.
• Build positive relationships with guests, event organizers, and group contacts to ensure satisfaction.
• Support banquet setup, service, and breakdown while maintaining a professional environment.
• Assist with administrative responsibilities, including closing banquet checks and supply requisitions.
• Provide coaching and feedback to team members, supporting consistent performance and service excellence.
• Ensure compliance with Four Seasons policies, service standards, and workplace expectations.
• Foster a collaborative and respectful work environment by working closely with colleagues and leadership.
