Job summary

Fossil Creek Golf Club, part of Arcis Golf, is seeking a Banquet Captain to lead and support our banquet operations for weddings, tournaments, private events, and club functions. You will guide staff, coordinate service with the Food & Beverage Director, and ensure flawless event execution with hospitality at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet, hospitality, or event-service experience required.
• Experience with weddings and golf tournaments strongly preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of banquet service and event operations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to provide proper guidance and direction to a team.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead banquet staff during weddings, tournaments, meetings and events.
• Coordinate event setup, service, and breakdown with the F&B Director.
• Provide clear direction to servers, bartenders, and banquet staff.
• Ensure staff understand event timelines, service standards, menus, and guest expectations.
• Maintain a professional, welcoming presence throughout each event.
• Assist with event setup, room layouts, service, and breakdown.
• Monitor service and address guest or operational concerns promptly.
• Ensure proper presentation and service of food and beverages.
• Communicate with culinary, beverage, and management teams.
• Train and mentor banquet staff to maintain service standards.
• Follow club policies, safety procedures, and responsible alcohol-service practices.
• Support the F&B Director with organization during high-volume events.
• Represent Fossil Creek Golf Club professionally and provide exceptional hospitality.

Fossil Creek Golf Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Banquet Captain to lead and support our banquet operations. This position plays a key role in delivering exceptional service for weddings, tournaments, private events, and club functions while ensuring that every event meets the highest standards of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead banquet staff during weddings, tournaments, meetings, and special events.
• Work closely with the Food & Beverage Director to coordinate event setup, service, and breakdown.
• Provide clear direction and guidance to servers, bartenders, and banquet staff.
• Ensure staff members understand event timelines, service standards, menus, and guest expectations.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming presence throughout each event.
• Assist with event setup, room layouts, food and beverage service, and breakdown.

• Ensure proper presentation and service of food and beverages.

• Experience with weddings and golf tournaments strongly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of banquet service and event operations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to provide proper guidance and direction to a team.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the Food & Beverage Director and management team.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, weddings, and tournament events.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and hands-on experience in banquet service. The Banquet Captain will work closely with the Food & Beverage Director to ensure smooth event execution, proper staff guidance, and an outstanding guest experience.
