Job summary

Columbia Hospitality is seeking a Banquet Bartender/Server at Sleeping Lady Resort in Leavenworth, WA. This on-call position supports event services, bar and dining operations across the resort, ensuring high-quality guest experiences.

Responsibilities include bartending, serving, setup, coordinating courses with the dining team and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment. Prior bartending/serving experience and a valid liquor permit are required.

Qualifications

  • Prior bartending and serving experience required; large-scale event experience preferred.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • State Food Handler’s License and Liquor Serving Permit.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Willingness to work long hours, irregular shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Perform event bartending, serving, and setup duties.
  • Occasionally work in the restaurant or standalone bar.
  • Set tables with chinaware, glass, silver and linens.
  • Clear tables, assemble buffets and provide food and beverage service.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and report unsafe conditions.
  • Enter orders into the computerized Point of Sale system and communicate special requests to the culinary team.
  • Coordinate timing of each course to match the dining pace.
  • Assemble food items such as appetizers, salads and soups.
  • Ensure attractive, consistent presentation and correct temperature of all offerings.
  • Maintain current knowledge of menu items, changes and sold-out status.
  • Process guest payments using proper accounting and cash handling procedures.
  • Keep work area and guest dining area clean and organized.
  • Follow all policies and procedures and advise guests on food and beverage offerings.
  • Assist in all service and production areas, including hosting, bussing, cleaning and dishwashing.
  • Support other F&B departments such as Outlets, Banquets and Guest Breakfast as needed.
  • Exceed guest expectations through responsiveness and attentiveness.
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as directed by management.

  • Previous experience as a server in a similar restaurant environment
  • Ability to use a computerized Point of Sale system
  • Knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures and applicable liquor laws
  • Standing, walking, stair navigation, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds for extended periods
  • Comfortable working across a large resort property with significant walking and supply transport
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in challenging weather conditions
