Job Summary
The Events Server/Bartender is responsible for making and serving alcoholic beverages and performing Events Server functions including set‑up, service, and cleanup of hotel event activities ensuring overall success and repeat business, while creating memorable experiences by providing friendly, prompt, and attentive service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend to guest needs and requests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
- Properly follow recipes to make and serve a wide variety of mixed drinks using an extensive range of ingredients.
- Orders, requisitions, and stocks all liquor, beverage and other bar supplies according to company standards.
- Perform Events Server functions as needed, including proper set‑up/reset of guest sitting areas, attending to guest needs; serve and make alcoholic beverages, ensuring that proper measurement and recipes are followed.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations.
- Set up all server areas and complete all opening, closing, and side work duties during shift.
- Check identification to verify legal age (21) requirements for all guests.
- Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies and procedures.
- Abide by all control, regulations, laws, and procedures related to food/alcohol service, safety, and sanitation.
- Be able to cross‑train in other F&B related areas.
- Display a high level of professional integrity and ethical conduct.
- Maintain calmness and composure under high levels of pressure.
- Adapt to frequent change, fast‑paced environment, delays, or unexpected events.
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum 1 year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Luxury hotel/fine dining experience preferred.
- High volume, fast‑paced work environment experience preferred.
- Food Handlers card required.
- Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Certification a plus.
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification a plus.
- Proficient in English – verbal and written.
- Must have flexible work availability – all shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
