Job Description

The Banquet Bartender provides friendly, courteous, timely, and professional service. Responsibilities include preparing beverages according to recipes, ensuring compliance with liquor laws, maintaining high service standards, and executing banquet orders. In the absence of leadership, the Banquet Bartender manages event details for their shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Offer professional, friendly, and engaging service
  • Display an outgoing, welcoming personality
  • Use guest relations and communication skills
  • Know event menus, timing, and luxury guest service standards
  • Engage with guests and anticipate their needs
  • Prepare beverages following recipes and guidelines
  • Follow leadership directives
  • Maintain teamwork and a positive attitude
  • Comply with liquor laws and safety policies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
  • Control costs and waste
  • Handle cash policies responsibly
  • Assist colleagues proactively
  • Practice safe lifting and transportation techniques
  • Manage meeting space and bar setup during shifts
  • Work harmoniously with other departments
  • Follow sanitation policies
  • Perform secondary skills such as serving and room setup as needed
  • Report safety hazards
  • Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of Food & Beverage service experience, preferably in events or catering
  • Knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, and beer
  • Highly responsible and reliable with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong guest service skills and a track record of guest satisfaction
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt
  • Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to obtain Food Handler and TIPS/Alcohol Safety Certifications

Physical Demands

  • Ability to walk, stand, and exert mobility for up to 8 hours
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Constant standing and walking
  • Repetitive motions, bending, and visual acuity required
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and ladder use

  • Hourly Rate: $23.00 USD
  • Schedule based on seniority and business needs
