Job summary

Auberge on Johns Island, part of the Kiawah River hospitality group, seeks a Banquet Bartender to join our luxury events team. You will curate beverages and deliver heartfelt service within our coastal retreat environment, collaborating with the Beverage Captain to execute Banquet Event Orders and maintain a polished bar area.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in hospitality bartending, strong knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in foodservice/hospitality as a bartender preferred.
• Good knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine; luxury hospitality experience preferred.
• Must be eligible to serve alcohol and present a professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Review Banquet Event Orders with the Beverage Captain; confirm event details.
• Keep the bar stocked and the workspace clean.
• Prepare and serve beverages efficiently at the bar.
• Interact with guests to assess needs and ensure high-quality service.
• Know the Banquet menu and standard drinks to assist guest choices.
• Assist with additional duties to ensure smooth events and operations.

Job Description

Embark on a rewarding journey with our team as a Banquet Bartender, a key player in our vibrant events you will not just serve drinks; you will be the curator of heartfelt moments, an alchemist of flavors, and the heartbeat of our social haven.

• Connect with the Beverage Captain to review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), confirming event details (location, timeline, product, assignments, flow, etc.)
• Ensure that the bar is well-stocked at all times, and maintain a clean and tidy workspace.
• Prepare and serve beverages efficiently while assisting guests at the bar.
• Relate with guests about needs, satisfaction with the beverage and drinks, ensuring a consistently caring and high-quality service
• Be knowledgeable about the drink offerings on the Banquet menu and BEOs, as well as all standard drinks, to assist guests in choosing their beverage based on likes/dislikes
• Perform additional duties, responsibilities, or projects as assigned to ensure exceptional guest service and efficient operation of events, including but not limited to moving rental equipment.

Pay $45 - 55 / hour (inclusive of gratuity)

Qualifications

• One year experience in the foodservice/hospitality industry as a Bartender preferred.
• Good knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine. Experience at a luxury hospitality property preferred.
• Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.
• Superior professional appearance and manner, good character to work in a fast-paced team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
• Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.
