Job summary

Auberge Collection is seeking a Banquet Houseperson on Johns Island, SC, to craft seamless event environments. The role supports banquet setups, gear movement, and guest-focused service, contributing to a luxury coastal retreat experience.

Expect to work in a team-driven, high-touch setting with a pay rate of $35–$45 per hour, inclusive of gratuity and service charges. Benefits include free parking and team-member programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to meet timelines for set-ups.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Prior customer service training is a plus.
• Must work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Must be able to move/maneuver in a banquet environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds with ease, 75 pounds occasionally and higher as needed.
• Walking, standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Cleans Function Rooms Prior to Set-up.
• Sets equipment to Daily Work Sheet specifications.
• Provides required amenities as per Resort Standards.
• Refreshes meeting rooms during breaks.
• Breaks down meeting rooms after functions.
• Completes Special Projects as directed by management.
• Moves conference material boxes from docks to guest areas.
• Caring for the equipment and maintaining it.
• Accommodates special customer needs, hangs banners for meetings and functions.
• Follows Banquet Event Orders (BEO).
• Installs/removes air walls (if applicable) and manages service areas.

Embark on a behind-the-scenes adventure as our Banquet Houseperson, playing a pivotal role in crafting seamless and enchanting events. As the silent architect behind the scenes, you'll set the stage for unforgettable moments.

• Cleans Function Rooms Prior to Set-up.
• Sets equipment to Daily Work Sheet specifications.
• Provides required amenities, as dictated by Resort Standards.
• Refreshes meeting rooms during meal and coffee breaks.
• Breaks down meeting rooms as soon as possible after the end of the function.
• Completes Special Projects as directed by department management/supervisor.
• Moves conferences material boxes, programs, etc. from resort receiving docks, registration areas, guest rooms, or suites.
• Caring for the equipment.
• Accommodates special customer needs, hanging banners for meetings and food/beverage functions.
• Follow Banquet Event Orders (BEO)
• Install and remove air walls (if applicable)
• Breaking down service areas
• Other reasonable requests of management

Pay $35 - $45 / hour, inclusive of gratuity + service charges

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or equivalent education.
• Must be able to adhere to timelines in completion of set-ups.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
• Prior customer service training is a plus.
• Must be able to perform in a team-oriented environment
• Must have the ability to move/maneuver in a banquet environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds with ease, 75 pounds occasionally and higher weights as needed to accomplish guest service
• Walking, standing, stooping, squatting, bending or other types of physical movement, sometimes for more than one hour
