Job summary

Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel in Milwaukee seeks a part-time Banquet Bartender to serve beverages with friendliness and efficiency, ensuring guest satisfaction.

You'll set up the bar, stock and prepare drinks, greet guests, handle cash, and keep the area clean while following liquor laws. Evening and weekend availability required; CPR/First Aid preferred and TIPS certification is required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of bartending experience.
• Bartending certificate required. TIPS certification required.
• CPR certification and/or First Aid Training preferred.
• Ability to obtain government required license or certificate.
• Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and balancing POS.
• Basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers.
• Ability to promote a variety of menu items.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work under pressure.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up the bar daily with necessary supplies per BEOs and check par levels of beer, wine, and spirits.
• Stock, cut, and store fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables to maintain quality.
• Greet guests courteously, take drink orders, mix and garnish drinks using standard recipes and portion control.
• Update par sheets during shifts for accuracy and accountability.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar and guest areas throughout the shift.
• Handle cash transactions, verify charges, record charges, and balance money.
• Lock and store all beverages, food, and equipment items.
• Follow liquor laws and regulations for serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests, and assist security with disorderly guests.
