Job summary

Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown is seeking a Banquet Bartender to deliver warm, attentive service and craft cocktails for our events. Reporting to the Banquet Manager, you will greet guests, mix drinks, handle payments when needed, and ensure a pristine bar area while upholding our Service Principles.

Qualified candidates have banquet/bartending experience, basic liquor knowledge, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet and bartending experience is preferred.
• Basic liquor and wine knowledge required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders from guests or coworkers on behalf of a guest.
• Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
• Collects money/tickets for drinks served, if event requires it.
• Arranges bottles and glasses to make an attractive display.
• Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.
• Maintains cleanliness of bar area.
• Follow established service guidelines and demonstrate the Service Principles with every interaction with guest and colleagues.
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities as requested by teammates or manager.
• Maintain a positive service attitude at all times and assist guests with questions and requests.
