Job Title: Bartender

Position Overview

Banquet Bartenders work directly with customers by mixing and serving drink orders. Responsibilities include verifying age requirements, knowledge of alcohol pairing and tastes, making traditional and classy drinks, processing payments, managing inventory, and cleaning bar supplies.

Essential Job Functions

1. Set up the bar with supplies (fruit, garnishes, cocktail napkins, glassware, etc.) and product before opening.
2. Display products attractively to enhance sales and showcase selection.
3. Receive and prepare drink orders using standard recipes; ensure accuracy.
4. Ring orders into the register, handle payments, and give correct change.
5. Provide prompt guest service, listen actively, and enhance guest relations.
6. Close down the bar securely, clean, sanitize, and store supplies.
7. Assist servers with food and beverage service when needed.
8. Maintain a welcoming demeanor to make guests feel comfortable.
9. Inform guests of specials and chef's specialties.
10. Take orders accurately and promptly, communicate special instructions to the kitchen.
11. Serve beverages and meals following standard procedures.
12. Perform quality checks to ensure guest satisfaction.
13. Clear and reset tables after guests leave.
14. Keep the bar, dining area, and bus station clean at all times.
15. Report any guest complaints immediately.
16. Perform cleaning and closing duties as assigned.
17. Attend pre-shift meetings as scheduled.
18. Review and submit Z reports with accurate cash and credit info.
19. Complete any additional tasks related to your role or guest service.
20. Report to work in a neat uniform with good personal hygiene.
21. Always aim to exceed guest expectations and ensure satisfaction.

Legislation & Company Policy

Obtain TIP certification within 3 months. Check IDs to verify legal drinking age; refuse service politely to minors. Use judgment to handle difficult situations, such as preventing intoxication or underage drinking, and offer alternative transportation if needed. Support all company policies applicable to your role.
