Description

Promontory Club is seeking a Seasonal Food & Beverage Banquet Bartender (Hourly) to meet the food and beverage needs of our members in a friendly and professional manner, upholding the highest standards of Promontory Club events.

Our Banquet Bartender will be responsible for providing excellent service, maintaining attention to detail, controlling portions, and complying with UDABS requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet members in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Possess knowledge of fine wines (preferred).
  • Have thorough knowledge of traditional cocktail recipes and mixology techniques.
  • Be flexible with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work independently and as part of a team; be punctual and well-groomed; uniforms provided.
  • Maintain excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
  • Follow all safety and security policies; report incidents; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to ensure a positive guest experience and complete side work as required.
Qualifications

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to work various hours, stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally, and work at any F&B outlet as needed.

Educational Requirements and Certifications: High School diploma or GED preferred; two years of supervisory experience in banquet or catering environment preferred; must obtain Utah food handler's certification within two weeks; a recognized alcohol server training card by UDABS is preferred; must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.

Previous Experience: Broad banquet dining and events background preferred; basic computer skills required; strong communication and organizational skills; high attention to detail; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

On-the-Job Knowledge: Adhere to Promontory policies; work independently; be courteous; acquire knowledge of games, media, and POS systems within 30 days; practice effective communication.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
