Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel El Paso Downtown is seeking friendly and energetic individuals for a Temporary Part-Time Banquet Bartender position during the busy holiday season. You will prepare and serve a range of beverages at weddings, parties, and corporate events within a professional hotel setting.

The role requires a positive attitude, reliability, and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Previous bar or banquet experience and a certification are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending, restaurant, or banquet experience preferred.
• Bartending or alcohol-service certification preferred.
• Must meet all applicable legal requirements for serving alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to banquet guests.
• Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service throughout each event.
• Set up portable bar with garnishes, glasses, ice, and requested beverages.
• Maintain bar supplies throughout the function.
• Communicate effectively with the banquet team and event staff.
• Verify guest age and follow alcohol-service requirements.
• Monitor alcohol consumption and follow responsible alcohol-service practices.
• Use POS system to ring bar purchases.

Job Description

What you will be doing

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to banquet guests
• Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service throughout each event
• Set up portable bar with the appropriate items (as needed): garnishes, glasses, ice, all liquor requested for function, mixes, straws, napkins, etc.
• Maintain bar supplies throughout the function.
• Communicate effectively with the banquet team and event staff
• Verify guest age and follow all applicable alcohol-service requirements
• Monitor alcohol consumption and follow responsible alcohol-service practices
• Using POS system to ring bar purchases for guest's drinks.
