Job summary

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel El Paso Downtown is seeking a friendly, energetic Temporary Part-Time Banquet Bartender to join the events team. You will prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, set up portable bars, and provide attentive service during weddings, parties, and corporate events in a busy hotel setting.

You'll work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, verify legal drinking age, manage bar supplies, and ring purchases in the POS system.

Qualifications

• Experience in bartending or banquet service preferred.
• Must meet legal requirements for serving alcohol.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays availability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to banquet guests.
• Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service throughout each event.
• Set up portable bar with garnishes, glasses, ice, and requested liquor, mixes, straws, napkins, etc.
• Maintain bar supplies throughout the function.
• Communicate effectively with the banquet team and event staff.
• Verify guest age and follow all alcohol-service requirements.
• Monitor alcohol consumption and practice responsible service.
• Use POS system to ring bar purchases for guest drinks.

Job Description

What you will be doing

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to banquet guests
• Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service throughout each event
• Set up portable bar with the appropriate items (as needed): garnishes, glasses, ice, all liquor requested for function, mixes, straws, napkins, etc.
• Maintain bar supplies throughout the function.
• Communicate effectively with the banquet team and event staff
• Verify guest age and follow all applicable alcohol-service requirements
• Monitor alcohol consumption and follow responsible alcohol-service practices
• Using POS system to ring bar purchases for guest's drinks.

Requirements

• Positive attitude and excellent customer-service skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional during busy events
• Previous bartending, restaurant, or banquet experience preferred
• Bartending certification or alcohol-service certification preferred
