Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel El Paso Downtown is seeking a friendly banquet bartender for part-time, temporary positions during the busy holiday season. You will prepare beverages, serve guests, and support event staff at weddings, parties, and corporate functions in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Ideal candidates have previous bartending or hospitality experience, a customer-service focus, and the ability to work evenings and weekends. Certification in bartending or alcohol service is preferred.

Job Description

What you will be doing

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to banquet guests
• Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service throughout each event
• Set up portable bar with the appropriate items (as needed): garnishes, glasses, ice, all liquor requested for function, mixes, straws, napkins, etc.
• Maintain bar supplies throughout the function.
• Communicate effectively with the banquet team and event staff
• Verify guest age and follow all applicable alcohol-service requirements
• Monitor alcohol consumption and follow responsible alcohol-service practices
• Using POS system to ring bar purchases for guest's drinks.

Requirements

• Positive attitude and excellent customer-service skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional during busy events
• Previous bartending, restaurant, or banquet experience preferred
• Bartending certification or alcohol-service certification preferred
• Must meet all applicable legal requirements for serving alcohol
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
