Job summary

Hilton Nashville Downtown is seeking an entry-level Banquet Bartender/Server to set up and manage banquet bars for events in Nashville, TN. You will prepare and serve drinks, follow established guidelines, and ensure a safe, courteous guest experience.

Responsibilities include checking Banquet Event Orders, arranging the portable bar, and maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout shift. Some cross-area coverage may occur to support hotel operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to read safety rules and operating/maintenance instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with guests and co-workers.
• Must have basic knowledge of serving alcoholic beverages.
• Sufficient manual dexterity for garnishes, glassware, ice, stock handling.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.
• Maintains professionalism and courtesy at all times.

Responsibilities

• Set up, tend and breakdown banquet bars according to policy in a safe, efficient manner.
• Make and serve drinks to guests following guidelines and safety controls.
• Check Banquet Event Orders to determine function, guest count and bar type.
• Set up portable bar in function area per standards.
• Remove trash and used glassware, return bar to storeroom.
• Breakdown, clean bar and return equipment to proper area.
• Perform other duties as assigned and support hotel operations.
• Support a safe work environment for colleagues and guests.
