Job summary

Hilton Nashville Downtown in Nashville, TN is seeking a Full Time Banquet Server to set up banquet rooms and serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner according to Hilton Hospitality standards.

Responsibilities include serving courses, replenishing beverages, clearing dishes, resetting rooms between events, and assisting with housekeeping of banquet spaces. Prior guest service experience preferred; ability to work flexible hours is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of service standards and Supervisor to ensure consistency throughout banquet function.
• Replenish beverages as necessary, and check with guests for overall satisfaction
• Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function
• Set up banquet room as instructed by Supervisor to include linen, service-ware and glassware
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars, including guest and hotel expectations
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner
• Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
• Once banquet is complete, reset banquet room according to Supervisor’s specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for the following function
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• The employee may be expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description
• Maintain a safe work environment for co‑workers and a safe hotel for guests
