Job summary

ASM Global-SMG Alaska, Inc. is seeking a Banquet Barback to support bartenders during events at the Anchorage Convention Centers. You will help with ice, glassware, and other products, ensuring smooth service.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, enforcing health standards, securing storage, and assisting during breaks. Great candidates communicate well, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a flexible schedule, including weekends.

Qualifications

Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication.
Must speak and understand English well enough to converse with staff and guests.
Ability to count inventory accurately.
Ability to communicate via radio.
Outgoing, positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Maintains inventory and stock of all supplies at all bar locations.
Maintains rules and regulations of Health and Sanitation Laws, as well as safe transfer/storage procedures.
Responsible for keeping all product storage areas locked and secured during events.
Reports to work in appropriate uniform, for assigned location and event Function Order (Banquet Event Order).
Maintains organized and clean storeroom.
Enters transfers onto inventory sheets.
Stands in for bartenders during breaks.
Assists in running dirty glassware to kitchen.
Other duties as assigned by Food and Beverage Management.
