Orion Placement is seeking an attorney to join its sophisticated bankruptcy and financial restructuring practice in Washington, DC. The role offers on-site collaboration with an experienced team, handling complex matters involving distressed businesses, creditors, and commercial transactions.

The candidate must be admitted to practice in DC and Virginia and have 2+ years of relevant experience or a bankruptcy court clerkship, with strong research and writing skills and an outstanding academic

Qualifications

Active Washington, DC Bar admission required.
Active Virginia Bar admission required.
2+ years of financial restructuring, bankruptcy, and commercial transactions experience, or bankruptcy court clerkship experience.
Excellent research and legal writing skills.
Outstanding academic record.
Maryland Bar admission is a plus.

Responsibilities

Advise clients on bankruptcy, financial restructuring, and related commercial matters.
Work on sophisticated matters involving financially distressed businesses, creditors, and other stakeholders.
Assist with restructuring strategies and bankruptcy proceedings.
Handle commercial transactions arising in restructuring and insolvency matters.
Conduct sophisticated legal research and prepare high-quality written work.
Collaborate with experienced attorneys on complex financial and business matters.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
