Orion Placement is seeking an attorney to join its sophisticated bankruptcy and financial restructuring practice in Washington, DC. The role offers on-site collaboration with an experienced team, handling complex matters involving distressed businesses, creditors, and commercial transactions.

The candidate must be admitted to practice in DC and Virginia and have 2+ years of relevant experience or a bankruptcy court clerkship, with strong research and writing skills and an outstanding academic

Qualifications

• Active Washington, DC Bar admission required.
• Active Virginia Bar admission required.
• 2+ years of financial restructuring, bankruptcy, and commercial transactions experience, or bankruptcy court clerkship experience.
• Excellent research and legal writing skills.
• Outstanding academic record.
• Maryland Bar admission is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on bankruptcy, financial restructuring, and related commercial matters.
• Work on sophisticated matters involving financially distressed businesses, creditors, and other stakeholders.
• Assist with restructuring strategies and bankruptcy proceedings.
• Handle commercial transactions arising in restructuring and insolvency matters.
• Conduct sophisticated legal research and prepare high-quality written work.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys on complex financial and business matters.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
