Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Bankruptcy Case Manager I to organize and monitor bankruptcy accounts, ensuring timely claims and payments. You will work with PACER, AIS, and trustee sites to manage cases in a detail-oriented, compliant manner.

You will coordinate with bankruptcy litigations and loss mitigation teams, performing discharge reviews and assisting on special projects as needed. Strong communication and multi-tasking are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred and 0-2 years related bankruptcy experience.
• Background in bankruptcy is helpful but not required.
• Legal background beneficial for understanding case documents.

Responsibilities

• Receive, update and review bankruptcy information daily.
• Research accounts using PACER, AIS, trustee sites and internal systems.
• Prepare and file Proofs of Claim and Transfers of Claim with courts.
• Ensure pre- and post-petition payment tracking in the ILS system.
• Monitor accounts for payments per bankruptcy plan and communicate with trustees or attorneys.
• Identify issues qualifying for legal action (plan/claim objections, motions).
• Coordinate with Litigation, Foreclosure and Loss Mitigation teams.
• Perform discharge reviews for lien releases and adjustments.
