Lutz is seeking a Bankruptcy Paralegal in Omaha to support attorneys in a fast-moving practice. You will prepare documents, monitor dockets, draft pleadings, and manage lien documentation with precision and follow-through.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of bankruptcy experience, a paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree, and excellent communication skills to keep clients updated on case progress.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of bankruptcy and/or creditors' rights experience.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and court filings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file proofs of claim and support bankruptcy filings.
  • Monitor bankruptcy dockets and track case activity.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery, and legal correspondence for attorney review.
  • Assist with loan documents, promissory notes, and security agreements.
  • Handle UCC searches and filings and manage lien documentation.
  • Support trustee sale processes (Notices of Default, Sale, Deeds of Trust, etc.).
  • Prepare and manage post-judgment collections (garnishments, levies, etc.).
  • Conduct legal research, lien searches, and public record reviews.
  • Communicate with clients to provide status updates and case progress.
  • Maintain organized and accurate client files and documentation.
