Job Details

We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Paralegal to join our esteemed legal team. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment, and who has a keen interest in the legal industry. The successful candidate will be a crucial part of our team, supporting attorneys in a wide range of legal matters, with a particular focus on avoidance actions. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in the legal field.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting attorneys with avoidance actions and other complex legal matters.
  • Conducting extensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
  • Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, affidavits, motions, and memoranda of law.
  • Managing and organizing large volumes of documents and data; maintaining detailed and accurate case files.
  • Coordinating with clients and opposing counsel, scheduling meetings, and managing deadlines.
  • Preparing for and attending court proceedings as necessary.
  • Staying updated on current laws, regulations, and industry trends related to avoidance actions.
  • Assisting with other duties and special projects as assigned by attorneys.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, along with a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of paralegal experience in bankruptcy law, both creditor and debtor side.
  • Significant experience with avoidance actions and a solid understanding of the related laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional research and analytical skills; proficiency in using legal research platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality; ability to interact effectively with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal case management software.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach; ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
