Overview

Base pay range: $30.00/hr - $33.00/hr

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our team and provide critical support to our attorneys in reviewing pleadings, preparing legal documents, and analyzing claims.

Position Overview: As a Paralegal, you will play a key role in the preparation, organization, and execution of legal tasks. You will review and draft legal documents, ensure compliance with bankruptcy court rules, and help assess the strengths and weaknesses of claims. Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and revise demand letters, pleadings, objections, discovery responses, settlement agreements, and correspondence.
  • Complete and submit claim-related templates in compliance with court rules and bankruptcy procedures.
  • Analyze claim strengths and weaknesses, identifying issues such as missing documentation or procedural defects.
  • Maintain organized case files—both physical and electronic—in accordance with firm standards.
  • Coordinate court filings, e-filings, and service of documents with courts and opposing counsel.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist attorneys with timekeeping, billing, and expense tracking.
  • Conduct legal research and gather supporting documentation as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of legal administrative or paralegal experience; bankruptcy or financial litigation preferred.
  • Basic understanding of claim strengths/weaknesses; knowledge of bankruptcy law principles and creditor rights a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal document management software.
  • Experience with PACER and CM/ECF e-filing systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
