AmLaw 100 Firm in Seattle, WA seeks an Associate Attorney for its Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Litigation Practice Group. The role covers complex restructuring, enforcement actions, and distressed-workouts for lenders, creditors, landlords, and debtors.

Requirements include a JD from a top-tier law school, Washington bar admission, 4–8 years of bankruptcy-related experience, and strong drafting, discovery, and court-appearance capabilities.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with strong academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in Washington, in good standing (or eligibility to waive into Washington). Admission in Oregon and/or California is a plus.
• 4–8 years of substantive experience representing parties in bankruptcy proceedings, restructuring, creditors' rights litigation, or insolvency-related matters.
• Experience handling loan workouts, loan enforcement actions, receiverships, foreclosures, and related insolvency litigation.
• Bankruptcy & Restructuring expertise: debtor and creditor representations in Chapter 11, 15 and 9 municipal insolvency cases.
• Litigation duties include drafting, discovery, motion practice, and court appearances for bankruptcy-related disputes.
• Additional transactional background: distressed asset acquisitions and out-of-court restructurings is a plus.
• Soft skills: writing, research, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, sound judgment.
• Ability to manage multiple complex matters with outstanding client service.

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders, creditors, landlords, debtors, and other stakeholders in bankruptcy, restructuring, and insolvency matters.
• Handle loan workout negotiations, restructuring transactions, and distressed asset matters.
• Manage creditors' rights litigation including loan enforcement actions, receiverships, and foreclosure proceedings.
• Draft and negotiate workout agreements, restructuring documents, pleadings, motions, and related filings.
• Advise clients on insolvency, restructuring, bankruptcy, and risk management strategies.
