Brock & Scott, PLLC in Winston-Salem is seeking a detail-oriented Bankruptcy Legal Assistant for a full-time remote role. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a bankruptcy-creditor rights practice and will handle Proof of Claims filing and case status analysis.

You will support attorneys, coordinate with clients and third parties, and contribute to efficient processing and documentation while upholding firm policies and client directives.

Formación

• 2+ years Bankruptcy – Creditor Rights Law Firm experience.
• Experience preparing and e-filing Proof of Claims.
• Proficiency analyzing case status, docket and claims register activity, and account data/history.
• Polished and professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependability and ability to work independently and with a team.

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated professional to join our team. If you have 2 or more years of experience in a BANKRUPTCY-CREDITOR RIGHTS LAW FIRM and are looking for a full-time, remote opportunity with a collaborative and professional team, we encourage you to apply.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and electronically file Proof of Claims
• Analyzing case status, docket and claims register activity, and account data/history
• Process files in an expeditious manner
• Provide timely notifications/documentation to clients
• Perform retrieval and related processing of incoming data and/or documentation
• Perform submission and related processing of outgoing data and/or documentation
• Perform liaison activities between our firm/attorneys, clients, intra-office personnel, and/or 3rd parties
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with company policies and client directives to achieve overall company goals

Position Requirements

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years Bankruptcy – Creditor Rights Law Firm experience
• Experience preparing and e-filing Proof of Claims
• Proficiency analyzing case status, docket and claims register activity, and account data/history
• Polished and professional verbal and written communication skills
• Proven record of dependability and ability to work well independently and with a team

Benefit Details:

• Brock & Scott, PLLC offers an attractive benefit package to full-time employees on the 1st of the following month of hire.The insurance portion includes medical, dental, voluntary life, voluntary vision, and critical illness, all at competitive rates.
• Atthe 90-day introductory period, the Firm also provides a basic life insurance policy in the amount of one time your annual salary (with a minimum of $25,000 and a maximum of $200,000.00) at no cost.
• Full-time employees receive paid holidays, including six (6) firm-recognized holidays and one (1) Day of Observance, as well as a PTO package of 12 days per year. PTO accrues monthly and is credited on the 15th of each month, in accordance with firm policy. PTO benefits increase after 2 years of employment and again after 5 years of employment. After six months of service, employees over the age of 21 become eligible to participate in the firm's 401(k) plan at the beginning of the next quarter.
• Employment with Brock & Scott, PLLC is contingent upon the successful completion of all required pre-employment screenings and verifications, which may include, but are not limited to, a criminal background check, conflict of interest check, employment and education verification (as applicable), and a pre-employment drug screening. Drug testing is conducted only after a conditional offer of employment has been extended and in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

To be considered for this position, applicants must currently reside within Brock & Scott, PLLC’s geographic footprint. Eligible states include: AL, CT, FL, GA, IN, KY, ME, MD, MA, MI, NH, NJ, NC, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VT, VA, and WV.
