Job summary

Vedder Price LLP in Chicago seeks a bankruptcy associate to join the Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Group. The team emphasizes collaboration, client service, and career development, with a hybrid policy of three days in-office and two days remote.

You will work closely with shareholders, participate in client-facing activities, and contribute to workouts, Chapter 11 cases, and related matters while building a strong foundation in creditors' rights and bankruptcy practice.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of bankruptcy experience.
• Represent secured creditors, landlords, asset purchasers, equipment lessors, and fiduciaries in workouts and Chapter 11.
• Substantive knowledge of creditors' rights, UCC Articles 2, 2A, 9, equipment leasing, and commercial finance law.
• Deposition and case management experience; ability to appear in federal, state, and bankruptcy courts; negotiate settlements.
