Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP, a national full‑service law firm, seeks a Bankruptcy and Restructuring Associate in Dallas, TX. The candidate will work on Chapter 11 matters, corporate reorganizations, and related litigation, advising debtors and creditors in complex cases.

Qualified applicants have 2–5 years of Chapter 11 experience, strong academic credentials, and excellent research/writing abilities, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach to handling sophisticated insolvency matters.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of Chapter 11 experience and corporate restructuring matters, including representation of debtors, secured creditors and unsecured creditors in complex bankruptcy cases, workouts, and restructurings
• Additional bankruptcy-related litigation experience in state and federal courts strongly preferred
• Superior academic credentials with excellent research and writing skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

The Dallas, Texas office of FBT Gibbons is seeking a Bankruptcy and Restructuring Associate.

The Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice Group is a growing and diverse practice with a national footprint. Our attorneys practice in all areas of bankruptcy and insolvency law, with a focus on sophisticated corporate reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings and insolvency counseling, and related litigation. Clients include official committees of unsecured creditors and bondholders, debtors-in-possession, Chapter 11 and 7 trustees, secured creditors and lenders, indenture trustees, insurers, asset purchasers, lessors, and other significant creditors.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Chapter 11 work, corporate restructuring matters, including the representation of debtors, secured creditors and unsecured creditors in complex bankruptcy cases, workouts and restructurings
• Additional experience in bankruptcy-related litigation in state and federal courts strongly preferred
• Superior academic credentials, and excellent research and writing skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $195,000 to $220,000 , reflecting a variety of factors including experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, relevant experience, and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable employment laws.

Associates Are Also Eligible For

• Quarterly and annual objective bonuses, with maximum objective bonus opportunities ranging from approximately $14,000 to $22,000 per year, depending on associate level
• Annual subjective bonus
