Job summary

Central Bank is seeking an Accounting professional to support the Controller with accounting and regulatory reporting, account reconciliations, review of general ledger reports, and preparation of management and departmental reports.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, 2–4 years banking experience, strong Excel and communication skills, and the ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment. On-site, Monday–Friday, with standard 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Basic understanding of general accounting, cash management and accounts payable functions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills in a high volume transactional environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Additional PC and software skills including Word.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in order to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Controller on accounting and regulatory reporting requirements, including reconciliation of accounts, review of various general ledger and internal system reports, review of payables and expenses and creating and distributing management and departmental reports.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
• Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital fluctuations.
• Conduct relationships and activities consistent with established Bank policies, procedures, and systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
