Job summary

Carter Bank in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Financial Services Representative II to build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, guiding them toward achieving their financial goals. You will balance routine transactions with more complex banking matters while identifying opportunities for growth and retention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college a plus.
• Successful customer service and/or sales experience required.
• Previous experience in a retail bank or related industry preferred.
• Prior cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers in needs-based conversations and open new products.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience through proactive engagement and meaningful conversations.
• Identify opportunities and referrals to branch associates and external partners to drive growth.
• Resolve complex banking issues with research and collaboration as needed.
• Follow processes and comply with regulations to run the branch efficiently.
• Assist colleagues and support branch management in daily operations.
• Support the bank’s strategic plan and growth of the retail banking business.
• Meet or exceed sales goals through targeted activities and needs-based recommendations.
• Pursue ongoing training and coaching to develop skills and career progression.
