Carter Bankshares is seeking a Financial Services Representative in Charlottesville, VA to serve as the first point of contact for customers, handling transactions and providing financial guidance. The role emphasizes proactive relationship-building and cross-selling appropriate banking products.

The successful candidate will have strong customer service and cash handling experience, preferably in a retail banking environment, with solid communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Successful customer service and/or sales experience required.
• Previous experience in a retail bank or related industry preferred.
• Prior cash handling experience preferred.
• Intermediate customer service skills; solid communication and listening abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of customer services including transactions, account servicing, and referrals.
• Deliver excellent customer experience through proactive conversations and needs-based solutions.
• Identify customer needs and generate referrals to partners and internal/external teams.
• Resolve basic issues using bank resources and escalate complex matters as needed.
• Support branch operations by following procedures and compliance directives.
