Job summary

Farmers National Bank of Canfield is seeking a friendly teller to open, maintain and close customer accounts, handle daily transactions, and deliver exceptional service. You will balance cash, process checks and deposits, and cross-sell bank products, including notary services where credentialed.

Prior retail banking experience with cash handling is preferred. A high school diploma is required, and the role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 1 year retail banking experience including cash handling.
• Previous supervisory and sales experience are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run a teller cash drawer to cover daily branch staffing needs.
• Sign official checks up to $50,000 and complete teller overrides.
• Process savings, checking, holiday savings accounts, loan payments, and related transactions.
• Accept checks for cashing per bank procedures and sell money orders/official checks.
• Balance cash drawer daily and resolve discrepancies with guidance from the manager.
• Maintain professional teller area and adhere to dress code and policy.
• Handle vault cash under dual control and secure records daily.
• Assist customers with safe deposit boxes and Notary services where credentialed.
• Complete weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational duties and mandatory trainings.
