First Community Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a Teller to deliver exceptional customer service while handling cash and facilitating routine banking transactions. You will assist customers with deposits, withdrawals, and product inquiries in a high-volume branch environment.

The role requires a friendly, team-oriented attitude, ability to meet sales objectives, and compliance with bank policies. Bilingual Spanish speakers are a plus; flexible scheduling is expected.

Competenze

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma, high school equivalency or currently attending high school.
• Six months of work experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must successfully pass background investigation according to company policy.
• Must be able to get along with co-workers and work effectively in a team environment.

• Provide exceptional customer service, involving receipt and payment of cash, in a high volume sales environment.
• Evaluate customer relationships and recommend bank products and services to support their financial success.
• Follow established policies in accordance with bank and supervisor direction.
• Aim for monthly new account production as assigned by upper management.
• Participate in in-store prospecting within a sales environment.
• Process deposits and pay outs, record transactions, and balance daily operations.
• Receive cash and checks, verify amounts, and check endorsements.
• Examine cash to guard against counterfeit checks and ID.
• Enter transactions into computer and issue customer receipts.
• Sell and prepare money orders, cashier's checks, wires, and CDs.
• Process Western Union wires and cash advances.
• Cross-sell bank services and products.
• Serve a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish speaking population.
• Perform other tasks as requested; maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Approval limits based on established authority levels.
