Job summary

The Universal Banker is an entry level position at Citi in Stamford, CT, supporting sales, products and services in coordination with the customer service team. The goal is to build customer loyalty and help increase sales to individual consumer clients.

Responsibilities include opening basic accounts for existing customers, handling routine transactions, resolving service issues, and referring opportunities to segment partners while maintaining strict adherence to bank policies and risk

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Previous retail banking or similar experience required.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic account opening for existing customers.
• Provide service delivery to resolve account service issues.
• Execute financial transactions in line with bank policies.
• Refer opportunities to segment partners as appropriate.
• Create sales opportunities from service transactions and resolve issues promptly.
• Support branch sales activities during seminars and campaigns.
• Adhere to controls to ensure safety of assets.
• Assess risk and escalate issues per regulatory requirements.
